Trash Mash-Up is enjoying a busy summer.  We are grateful to our community partners, students, and supporters for inspiring TMU to find a new way with old objects.  TMU is proud to be a part of a vibrant community of activists, artists and community organizers who believe in the power of art to build communities and bridge cultural divides.  San Francisco’s Western Addition and Bay View neighborhoods are facing an increase of violent crimes and the need has never been greater for safe, healthy and green communities.

We are so thrilled to have hosted workshops with Mo’Magic, Whitney Young Child Development Center and the San Francisco Public Library.  TMU is looking forward to our upcoming Mash-Up Bashes at the Mo’Magic Summer Learning Youth Showcase on July 29thand the Western Addition’s Annual National Night Out Party on August 2nd.  In addition, we are super excited to be mashing it up in the Bay View District of San Francisco with the Whitney Young Child Development Center as we parade through the neighborhood on August 2nd.

We look forward to continuing our urban tradition where others are inspired to see each other and our environment in a new way. Each year we strengthen our mission to enrich our community by developing creative connections through workshops and performances. We hope that through our actions, people are inspired to not only use less and reuse more but to also find their own way to become engaged in their community.
